Banana Blessings!

My grandson was eating a banana today and said to my wife, "Should I eat the bruised part?" My wife said, "Yes, it actually tastes sweeter than the rest." I said, "That's true spiritually also. When we get wounded or bruised we become sweeter if we focus on the Lord."

"A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice." Isaiah 42:3 (NIV)

"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)
