Years ago while speaking on childlike faith in Kansas, I noticed an eleven-year-old boy named Brody listening intently as if he was eating the message off of everyone's plate.
Two weeks later I received this update on Brody from his mother.
Brody went bow hunting with his cousin. While walking to their hunting place, Brody was thinking how difficult it might be to harvest a deer for it was very windy. He told his mother later, while having these thoughts, God spoke to him, "Brody, I'm going to give you one of my animals today." Shortly thereafter, Brody saw a deer about thirty yards away (a difficult distance for Brody and his bow.) He told his mother, "As soon
as I shot that arrow I just knew I missed that deer. I knew I missed it. But that strong wind hit that arrow and began driving it towards that deer and drove it straight into the deer's heart... perfect shot!"
When I heard this testimony I couldn't help but think how many of us are experiencing strong winds of adversity that leave us powerless from pursuing our purposes and dreams. But then in the Spirit I saw these same strong winds blowing many in the right direction that God had intended them to go where they would not have gone on their own. These adverse winds had become friends to many, driving them into their God-appointed destination, into
the right place, at the right time, with the right people.
Let the winds blow!
