A Family Thanksgiving Alert:
Have you ever noticed how the enemy works overtime to bring strife and
division at this time of year? He hates Thanksgiving, and the thought of families gathering together to give thanks for any reason. The Lord spoke to me this morning, "Think about the good things in each of your family members before you gather together and thank Me for them." We enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. I believe we can bring our loved ones through those gates by being thankful for them.
Focus on the good in your loved ones and on those who are hard to love. Perhaps they find it difficult to love you also. As we think on those things that we see as good in them, the Holy Spirit is released to accomplish
His purpose in their lives. He can then show us His plans for them. "For
I know the plans I have for them, plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans
to give them hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

I heard the story of a family gathered for Thanksgiving dinner. One of the children began talking about someone. "Did you know that this person is
in a lot of trouble?" The gossip spread around the table as family members added on to it. The father, who always seemed
to see the good in every one, finally spoke up and said, "Yes, I know all about that person, but he's a good swimmer!" The father knew all about the bad but chose to see the good. When our Heavenly Father looks at us He knows all about the bad but chooses to see the good in us. This Thanksgiving let's see as the Father sees and be thankful.
