What We Think About Our City Matters To God
"For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities." Isaiah 54:3 (NIV)
During a very strong presence of the Lord, while ministering in my hometown, Hagerstown, Maryland, I heard the Lord say something that surprised me. He spoke, "I feel at home in this town. I feel right at home. I have seen the
welcome mat spread out for me. I am going to use this town to do great things in this region and beyond. Take note that this is My town. Write that down!" Habakkuk 2:2-3 (KJV)
This reminded me of years ago when I asked a State Trooper what he thought of our city. He said, "If you knew what went on in this city you wouldn't be able to sleep at night." This troubled me so later on I went to the Lord and asked him the same question about our
city, what He thought about it. He responded, "It's a great city and I love the people in it. If you knew what I am up to in this city you wouldn't be able to sleep at night either for the excitement of what's coming."
So concerning the city where you live, what are you thinking?
Dear Friends, Before I minister my final words are, "Lord, I can't do this." He whispers, "But I can, trust Me!" I know it's your prayers that allow the Holy Spirit to do what only He can do in these meetings... speaking life to people to live again. This scripture comforts me and let it comfort you as we take advantage of
every opportunity we have to be a blessing, because the days are
evil. "Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." 2 Corinthians 3:4-6 (ESV).
