ICU = I SEE YOU!
Looking back on Christmas Day with that
traumatic three-day experience in ICU concerning my wife, Dagmar's brain bleed, I now know the Lord was saying to her, "I SEE YOU!"
When God met Hagar in her distress she said, "You are the God who sees me... I have now seen the One who sees me." Genesis 16:13.
The CT scan not only showed the bleeding on the brain but a very clear picture of how far short I had failed in loving my wife. Not knowing what the
outcome of this crisis was going to be, I just wanted God to give me one more chance to love Dagmar and not have to live with a bitter legacy of..."I should have loved you better." What a loving, perfect wife she has been to me all these years. I took it all for granted. With this fresh reality, I believe 2024 will be a year of an awakening in husbands to love their wives as Christ loves the church and gave Himself for her... Ephesians 5:25 (NKJV). I believe this alone will jump start the heart
of America and the world to beat again. Brothers, let's bring home the Gold by loving our wives and families. Lord, help us.
Dear Friends,
Dagmar is doing well at this point but keep her in prayer as she follows up with doctor appointments to be sure she is being restored back to health. Already, we are seeing the Lord turning this dreadful situation into answered
prayers.
Interestingly, on Christmas Eve I felt prompted to write this short message on facebook: "Jesus was born on a dark night. Darkness attracts Him. If it's the darkest time in your life, be encouraged, He's about to show up. Merry Christmas!" Little did we know that ten hours later the migrane and weakness would send her to the hospital on Christmas Day, and we would have to trust Him to show up for us.
I won't be ministering in churches for now but ministering in a higher calling, loving my wife and thanking God she's alive. Your love and prayers are sustaining us in the midst of this storm that is passing over. Words of a song come to mind in closing..."Storms never last, bad times all pass with the wind. Her hand in mine stills the thunder, and she (Dagmar) makes the sun want to shine." - Frank Hebner
We pray a "Healthy New
Year!" for you and your family.
With love, Bill & Dagmar
