Standing In Faith for Our Loved Ones
Many years ago, at a Russ Bixler Miracle Meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I stood in proxy (in place of) for my father, who for 25 years, couldn't stop smoking cigarettes. When I arrived home, my father was in the living room watching television. I whispered to my mother in the kitchen what I had done for my Dad so he would stop smoking. I didn't know he overheard me telling Mom. He walked into our kitchen and said, "Maybe that's the reason when I lit up a cigarette
about eight o'clock this evening, it didn't taste right, so I put it out." Dad never smoked another cigarette for the rest of his life! It was the same time I had stood in proxy for him that evening 60 miles away. Our God is amazing.
"You are my King and my God, who decrees victories for Jacob." Psalm 44:4 (NIV).
Dear Friends,
Every time I read this scripture it blows my mind: "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written." John 21:25 (NIV)
I once asked the Lord, "How could this be possible? I sensed He responded, "When I touched someone, they told on Me!" I believe at times when Jesus healed someone and told them not to tell anyone, He knew they probably couldn't keep it to themselves. I believe it's testimony time in the Body of Christ. It's time to tell our stories about the great things He has done and will do again in our lives and for anyone else who hears it. If we forget what the Lord has done for
us, we'll forget what He can still do.
This scripture has been ministering to me recently: "Display your strength, God, and we'll be strong! For your miracles have made us who we are. Lord, do it again, and parade from your temple your mighty power." Psalm 68:28-29. (TPT)
Because of your prayers, we have a story to tell the world that Jesus saves, heals and delivers. And it's no secret what God can do.
He's done wonderful things for us, and He can do it again for others.
