A Season of Germination
"Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single
seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds." John 12:24 NIV
In the Spirit, I am hearing a sound I have never heard before. It's a sound coming from seeds that God has planted in and through us that have died inside rebellious hearts. There has been a long season when these seeds produced nothing visible. These seeds were silenced by death. But in spite of death, these seeds are now beginning to groan as though death itself could not hold them any
longer. The very life of Christ within these seeds is beginning to overcome death. I see a sprouting taking place. The sprouting seems to shake the gates of Hell off its hinges! It's as though these seeds are shouting, "Our season of death is over! Hallelujah! We are coming alive!" Seeds that have died with unfulfilled dreams inside them are now beginning to come forth, worshiping their Creator, as they begin to sprout.
Seeds we had sown with the Word,
acts of kindness and even smiles are bringing in a harvest. Germination is taking place inside many who felt forgotten and hopeless.
To germinate means "to begin to or cause to grow or sprout." When a seed falls into the ground and dies, it looks different as it begins to sprout. Change is taking place. Many ministry assignments, giftings and dreams that have seemingly been terminated will begin to germinate and resurface,
appearing different in this season. Jobs that have been terminated in one place will germinate in another place. Your assignment has outgrown the room you were in! You will now need a larger room.
Many seeds that have been planted inside us by the Holy Spirit and have seemingly died (so you thought) are now beginning to make a noise and groan. Even some things we "thought" God had told us were over...aren't.
Galatians 6:9 "And let us not become weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
I am learning to trust God's timing. Sometimes when I feel like giving up (fainting)--- is when I am actually facing a new beginning from God's perspective. The seed sown in me or that I have sown in others is beginning to groan and sprout! Hallelujah!
Dear Friends,
My wife, Dagmar and I were invited recently to meet with a couple of friends for coffee. It was a place where we rarely go. While sitting at the table our friend began waving at someone across the room. A young man came over wearing a t-shirt about the Lord. As she
and her husband were talking about churches, he spoke up and said, "I remember a Sunday school teacher when I was about 4 years old named Dagmar at Faith Chapel. He continued to mention her name as they talked, and how she had touched his life. Finally they spoke up and said, "Dagmar is sitting right here at this table in front of you! He was shocked. Dagmar was so blessed that he had not forgotten her, because that was 34 years ago. What surprised us even more is that this young man is now the
associate pastor of a local church. She got to witness a seed planted 34 yrs ago that germinated in a child's heart.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. That keeps us plowing, planting and reaping in the harvest fields.
